REMINDER: Beavers and Cub Scouts at Polkemmet

The weather is looking glorious for our joint meeting at Polkemmet Country Park tomorrow!

We ask that the Cubs and Beavers – from BOTH Beavers groups – are dropped off at Polkemmet at 6 pm and collected once again at 7.30 pm.  We intend gathering at and departing from the car park nearest to the adventure play area – close to the park’s Visitor Centre.  Parents may of course wish to consider sharing transport if convenient.

If transport is an issue please contact one of the leaders and arrangements will be made to get any kids to and from Polkemmet.

Everyone is asked to wear their normal Thursday night uniform but wear sensible, outdoor footwear.  With the weather looking so good it is advisable that sunscreen is applied before coming to the park and perhaps even a hat.

Drinks and a snack will be provided during the evening.

Gala Day Thank You

Many thanks to everyone who attended the Gala Day procession on Saturday – and thank you to parents/guardians who helped their child be there.

The Scout Group had a terrific turnout which was brilliant!

Hip hip hooray!

REMINDER: Whitburn Gala Day – Saturday 23rd June

We are meeting in the car park behind Brucefield Church at 10.15 am.  We ask that everyone is smartly dressed with Scout jumper or shirt, necker, dark trousers and shoes.  The forecast is looking good therefore it looks like jackets won’t be needed.  As good Scouts we are prepared; ponchos are at the ready!

Everyone can be collected at King George V Park – Park View/Bog Road end – at approximately 12 noon.  Look out for the Group flags.

Juice and some sweets will also be available during the parade.

We know it’s a busy day; we know some kids will be walking with their school or other organisations; but if they can walk with the Scout Group, please encourage them to walk with the Scout Group.  Let’s show Whitburn how strong Scouting is in the town!
