Busy weekend…

The Cub Scouts are camping at Torphichen and the Beavers are off to the Glasgow Science Centre this morning.

Bus is leaving at 9 am.  Uniform, packed lunch and some money should you wish to visit the gift shop is all that’s needed.   They’re due back at Brucefield at 4 pm – M8 traffic dependent.

Have a great weekend everyone – long may the sun shine!

Brucefield Church Parade – Sunday

The Brucefield Church Parade and Service takes place this weekend.  We are gathering at 10.15 am on Sunday in the Bowling Club’s car park.  From there we walk to Brucefield Church for the service and walk back to the Bowling Club arriving around 12.15 pm.

We ask that parents make a real effort to have their child there.  Please look smart – full uniform, school trousers and shoes would be brilliant!

We appreciate that parades may perhaps not be as exciting as a camp or outing to Polkemmet or the Science Centre but they are part of being part of the Scout Group.  Please do your best to attend.  Many thanks in anticipation.

Any issues, please get in touch.

Subscriptions Due

Just a reminder that Subscription payments are due Tuesday 9th May 2017 for Scouts and Explorer Scouts and Thursday 11th May 2017 for Beaver and Cub Scouts.  Please make any cheques payable to “7th West Lothian Scout Group” and return all payments along with a completed form.

Any problems, please speak to your child’s section leader.

Cubs and Beavers at Polkemmet

The sun is shining so we are on for Polkemmet Country Park tonight!

We’re meeting at 6 pm at the play area next to the Visitor’s Centre.  Please wear uniforms – that way we can spot you!  Juice and crisps will be had!

See you there!

AGM Postponed

Please note that the AGM due to take place on Sunday 7th May is, unfortunately, having to be postponed.  A family bereavement has delayed the production of our accounts.  The Council Elections requiring us to take the Beavers and Cubs to Polkemmet Country Park on Thursday 4th May also meant we thought it would be too soon to head back to Polkemmet for a Sausage Sizzle as part of the AGM.

We will of course let you know the new date of the AGM as soon as we can.  Many thanks.

Community Celebration Event

The Scout Group attended the Whitburn Community Development Trust’s “Community Celebration Event” on Saturday along with many of the town’s other voluntary organisations to promote what we do.  It was a busy morning and well attended by the public.
